Friends of the Williams Medical Centre Annual General Meeting
16 November 2011
It is with much pleasure that I present to you the 2nd annual report on behalf of the Friends of the Medical Centre. Since our last annual general meeting in August 2010 we have consolidated our activities in the fund raising area confining it mainly to Driver Reviver raising just under $3000. Sincere thanks to Robin and Lesley for coordinating this important fundraiser.
Other small but valuable projects were Hedley Fowler loading machinery at the Prowse clearing sale for a fee, Ted Gillett helping Josbury Chaff at the Williams Camp Draft and several members catering for school functions also helped boost our funds. Thank you to everyone who assisted. Marie Buegge-Meunier kindly donated her electric organ to the "Friends" which is now located in the conference room at the Williams Community Resource Centre. The organ is used to entertain our senior citizens functions. Sincere thanks Marie.
Once again we are most grateful for the generous donations that we received throughout the year:
Williams Camp Draft
Anglican Church
Mens Badminton
Josbury Chaff
Arts and C rafts
Olive Overhue.
Kiaja Haddrick
Mr Nash
Simon and Emma Bedbrook
Lesley Prowse
Robin Fowler
Jim Epiro
Donations amounted to $4062.72 Thank you sincerely; your donations have been put to good use.
The friends of Williams Medical Centre have a good relationship with all the staff and Dr Erasmus at the Medical Centre so liaising with them enables us to direct our funds into areas that are most needed. To that end we have purchased $5464.60 of very valuable equipment for our centre
Details of these purchases can be seen in our Audited Financial statement. The Friends also made a donation of $500 to three local ladies involved in the Lions Safari Walk. Their fund raising efforts contributed to the purchase of a defibrillator which has now been installed at the Williams Wool Shed.
